Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna (UNIBO)

Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna Almost 1000 years old, the University of Bologna (UNIBO) is known as the oldest University of the western world. Nowadays, UNIBO still remains one of the most important institutions of higher education across Europe and the second largest university in Italy. The Laboratory of Immunology belongs to the Department of Experimental, Diagnostic and Specialty Medicine (DIMES) and is fully equipped for genetic, epigenetic, cell and molecular biology studies. Research at the Laboratory of Immunology is focused on the study of the major characteristics of ageing, immunosenescence and age-related diseases by a systemic approach (genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics).
